The big brother to the 250 XC-W has a little more torque with the same characteristics. It has been the most popular selling KTM off-road model over the past twenty years.
For 2010, this model includes:
Engine:
- reinforced cylinder head to provide far greater stability in tough conditions
- improved starting drive gear and new bushings for the electric starter drive designed for less maintenance and improved durability
- new exhaust pipe with increased wall thickness for more resistance against damage
- new radiator cap for better heat stability
Chassis:
- frame was redesigned with a steeper steering head angle for easier cornering and a better feeling in the front end
- new suspension valuing and PDS needle design to provide damping slightly earlier in the suspension stroke for a more progressive feel
- new brake master cylinder and Brembo front brake caliper along with new brake pads for awesome performance and progressive stopping power
- redesigned air box with a new shape that helps reduce dirt and water collection
- new TwinAir filter
- new DID 520 VT2 X-ring chain for less friction and improved durability
- new lighter Excel rims
- new Renthal ‘Diamond’ hand grips
